Young fans who attended Frinton's first rock concert have been given a pat on the back.
Nearby residents in the sleepy resort had expressed concern that it could end in mayhem.
But in the end there was no trouble either in or outside the former WI Hall where the youngsters' event was staged.
President of Frinton WI Mary Legard admitted that before the event she was worried - not with the those attending but by youngsters outside.
As it was there was no trouble and they behaved impeccably.
More than 100 under 18-year-olds attended.
