YOUNG footballers at Westgate Primary School are celebrating receiving a brand new team kit from sports charity the Football Foundation. The new strip, worth £400, was awarded to the team as part of the Football Foundation's junior kit scheme, which provides equipment to teams across the country.

Westgate applied to the foundation after achieving FA Charter Standard status. Coach Steve Eley said: "The kit scheme is another great way of encouraging boys and girls to get into football and stay healthy." England goalkeeper Paul Robinson said: "I wish Westgate Primary the very best of luck in 2007 and would encourage teams to log onto the Foundation's website at www.footballfoundation.org.uk.and apply for a voucher."
