HAVING viewed the Bahrain Grand Prix, and having visited the local supermarket for the umpteenth time, I have come to the conclusion that there is not much to choose between the two.
I recommend visiting the supermarket early in the week, when the children are at school, and restricting your visits to the twilight zone.
Everyone during peak hours seems to vie for pole position - that is, as close in proximity to the main doors when parking as possible without actually ending up on the vegetable counter.
We all appear on the surface to be Formula One drivers and the starting grid begins and ends in the limited reserved spaces.
Negotiating the stewards trundling their lines of empty trolleys close to the entry and exit doors, three deep, close to the cash machines, would put a pitstop to shame.
Last but not least, we now have the timekeepers, who can tell you that you have exceeded your time trial and will be fined as your lap time has run out, in the car park.
