MESSAGES of goodwill have filtered into York City ahead of tomorrow's play-off semi-final opener at home to Morecambe.
Former City goalkeeper Chris Porter, who starred for the Minstermen last season only to now pursue a career outside football as a fireman, rang the club to offer his best wishes.
And there have also been emails and faxes wishing City all the best from Scunthorpe United, newly-promoted to the Coca-Cola Championship after being crowned champions of Coca-Cola One, plus a trio of City's fellow Conference rivals Cambridge United, Stevenage and Northwich Victoria.
