A man who followed and attacked a woman in Osterley called his victim baby girl' before stealing her handbag on the Great West Road.

The 25 year-old woman from Isleworth, had just got off the tube at Osterley station just after midnight on Thursday April 5, and was making her way home on the south side of the A4.

The woman initially felt safe as lots of other people were around, however she then noticed that everyone else had turned off and she could hear somebody walking behind her.

As she walked between Ridgeway Road and Wood Lane the man approached her from behind and said "Hello baby girl" and then started grabbing at her bag.

The woman fought back by kicking him in the leg, but he pushed her to the ground and he ran off with her bag.

The man was described as white, 5'7", with a slim build and wearing a grey hooded top, jogging bottoms and a football scarf.
