THE 48th annual meeting was held at Bertrose, Horton, with Rosemary Parsons in the chair, and opened with prayer.

It started with a summary of the year's events given by Christine Brenton and followed by treasurer Gwen Presland, who advised that funds were in a good state. Therefore £500 will be given to the charity for the year - a £400 contribution would be given to Donyatt Village Hall committee to help provide a disabled lavatory, and £100 to enable two higher chairs with arms to be bought for disabled use.

Subscriptions would remain the same and it was decided that the new charity for the year would be the First Responders, some members having previously and gratefully received their assistance. The committee was re-elected en bloc and thanks were given to Rosemary and Bert for the use of their home for meetings, and to Rosemary Parsons and Jean Brown for all their efforts behind the scenes. The meeting concluded with a raffle, bring and buy, and American supper.

The next meeting will be skittles with a buffet supper on April 30 at 7.30pm at the Candlelight Inn, Bishopswood. Please give names to Rosemary Parsons on 01460-57540.
