A DRIVER jumped to safety after accidentally reversing his lorry into the Manchester Ship Canal.
The truck plunged into the canal near to the Truckstop Café, on Trafford Wharf Road, Trafford Park, at 1.15pm today.
The driver escaped unhurt.
The lorry was carrying a non-hazardous plastic material.
