A PROPOSAL for a business park on the edge of Leyburn will go before planners next week.
A planning application has been submitted for the creation of Harmby Road Business Park, in Leyburn.
The site of the proposed development lies between the town's existing industrial park and the railway station and has been submitted by Replay Associates Ltd.
The scheme includes provision for three buildings, subdivided into seven industrial units in total.
The buildings would be single-storey, and the external walls would mainly be finished in artificial stone.
Parking spaces for about 30 cars would be provided, and the units would operate from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
An earlier planning application for a business park on the same site was approved last year.
The previous scheme included five units comprised in a single building.
Two existing businesses based on part of the site, an antiques centre and carpet retailer, would be relocated to new premises within the business park if the plans are approved.
The application will go before members of Richmondshire District Council's planning committee next Tuesday.
Council planners are expected to recommend the application is approved.
