RESULTS: The company which owns the low-cost airline, Jet2.com, is predicting strong growth in its full yearly profit results later this year.
However the Dart Group also said that increased investment levels in the past 12 months are likely to mean that pre-tax profits will be "moderately less than the market's best expectations".
Bosses at the Dart Group said that Jet2.com, based at Leeds Bradford International Airport, had invested in new routes and existing route structures in the last year. It also launched the first-of-its-kind Jet2holidays.com, an online provider of budget package holidays.
The costs of these investments and resultant marketing expenses are expected to be written off against profits.
