THREE superheroes from Taunton had their bikes stolen on a sponsored bike ride to Land's End in Cornwall.
Lee Kemp, Thomas Boyne and Matthew Yarde dressed in superhero outfits for the charity bike ride, which was in aid of a new nursery chair for two-year-old Elise Kemp.
Elise was diagnosed with Motor Neuron's disease six months ago.
Lee Kemp, her father, said: "We temporarily lost our bikes for about 20 minutes.
"We went to buy some sausages and someone hid them behind a hedge, probably with the idea of picking them up later but luckily we found them."
The race, which took three days, begun outside Jane Adams hairdressers, Station Road, Taunton, who gave a day's takings towards the challenge bringing the grand total to £3,000.
