THREE Sedgemoor dancers have been chosen to perform with the English Youth Ballet Company in a forthcoming production of Sleeping Beauty, making a stop at the Octagon Theatre in Yeovil in June.
East Brent sisters Georgia and Lily Madsen, aged 14 and 12, were chosen, along with 12-year-old Mark youngster Sophie Patten, from a very competitive audition back in February and are currently rehearsing at Huish Episcopi School in Langport.
These intense rehearsals will run for six hours a day over weekends and half term, helping the dancers progress and expand on their talents.
Each performance of Sleeping Beauty will be led by international professional dancers, who are taking the lead roles.
Lavish sets and costumes will be arranged to highlight the magic and luxury of the Disney tale.
