A DRUNKEN man who sank his teeth into his mother and his sister will be sentenced by Burnley Magistrates on April 23.

The court was told how Eric Hutchinson, 20, left his mother suffering a heamotoma after attacking her.

Hutchinson was bailed on condition he does not enter licensed premises, does not contact the victims, observes a curfew between 8pm and 8am and lives at Pine Street, Nelson.

Hutchinson, formerly of Beaufort Street, Nelson, admitted assaulting his mother Bernadette causing actual bodily harm and assaulting his sister Emma, 18, by beating.

Carl Gaffney, prosecuting, told the court the defendant had been "seriously drunk" when he assaulted his mother and his sister.

The defendant made a full and genuine admission to police in interview, telling officers he was ashamed of himself.

David Lawson, defending, said Hutchinson had pleaded guilty at the first opportunity.

The defendant, who had problems with drink, had apologised to his mother.
