Denise Cotterill, the president, welcomed members to the April meeting and said how sorry we were to hear that our secretary was leaving to live in Ross-on-Wye and sent her our best wishes together with a climbing rose to remember us by.
We were very pleased when Margaret Donnelly agreed to be our new secretary and also that Jenny Williams agreed to be the new programme secretary. Reports were heard with regard to our theatre visit to see Merrie England and to the spring group meeting when we had a most interesting talk on antiques. Our speaker was Lucy Garner who demonstrated encaustic art, an art form using wax and an iron. Our next meeting in May will discuss resolutions and we will also have a trading stall.
