If, like me, you are fed up with the dreadful smells emanating from the landfill site on the Thames Water Site next to Beddington Park, please phone Environmental Health for the London Borough of Sutton.
Every year the smell seems to increase along with the mountain of rubbish I can view from my bedroom window.
I am in despair at not being able to open my windows or sit in my garden due to the appalling smell. Frequently while waiting for a bus or walking my dog in the park, I am nauseated by the stink of rubbish.
What, I wonder, is the effect on the price of our property? I am sure, if trying to sell property in the area, the prospective purchasers would have second thoughts if they smelt the disgusting stink wafting over the Hackbridge area. Should we be asking for a reduction on our council tax as this is based on the value of our homes?
The more of us that complain the better, so please pick up the phone or write a letter.
