After a beautiful spring day, and light evening, members of Dutton WI met at the village hall for the April meeting.
Mrs I Rutter presided over the meeting and read the Cheshire News.
Forthcoming events were lunch at the Preston Brook and a visit to the Brindley, Runcorn, to see Oklahoma.
The speaker for the evening was Mr Ted Meachin, who told some very amusing Sea Faring Yarns. He also demonstrated how ships were put into bottles. He was thanked by Mrs J Okell.
The competition for a nautical souvenir was won by 1, Mrs W Ackroyd; 2, Mrs R Beesley; 3, Mrs S Cox.
Refreshments were served by Mesdames K Willis, M Hargreaves, H Faulkner and B Threadgold.
At the village group meeting Dutton won the Easter Bonnet competition.
The next meeting will be on Wednesday when the Resolutions will be discussed and the talk will be by Age Concern.
