CHILDREN at Malvern Parish Primary School were jumping for joy - and for a good cause - during a special skipping challenge.
The whole school, including the teachers, got involved in the Jump Rope For Heart sponsored skip, on Thursday.
Classes took it in turns to skip constantly for a set length of time.
They raised £301, £100 of which will go to event organisers, the British Heart Foundation, the remainder to the Christ Church Spire Appeal.
"The children did really well and there were lots of smiles on faces," said headteacher Lynn Gill.
"It was nice to see them keeping fit, and having fun at the same time."
The school has recently been awarded £300 for play equipment by the DFES School Sports Partnership, and has purchased skipping ropes, balls and disco hoppers.
