THE Prospect@Home appeal is about making sure seriously ill people and their loved ones are in as homely and happy an environment as possible, so where better to raise money for it than in our own homes?
A Get-Together can be as simple or as elaborate as one wishes. It can be anything from tea and cakes to a fancy dinner party, from a barbecue to a strawberries and cream summer get-together.
The choice is up to the individual, but whatever your decision, you can be sure that every penny raised will go toward a cause that has brought comfort and hope to countless people down the years.
If you're short of ideas, why not borrow some from the people whose stories we have started telling today and will continue telling?
The Prospect Hospice is one of our most valuable local resources, but the wonderful work it does must be largely funded by the efforts of the community it serves.
More than ever before, we all have an opportunity to show how much we appreciate that work.
