SCHOOLCHILDREN impressed a team of dancers who stopped by to judge a talent show.

Pupils from Rochford Primary School danced, sang, read poetry and told jokes in front of the Kukri dance team.

The Romford-based sports dance group is heading to Hong Kong for the Rugby World Sevens competition and was invited into the school to judge its talent show.

Sixteen acts, including pupils of all ages, performed at the show, and Rachel Wensak, the team manager of the Kukri All Stars dance team said she was impressed with the standard.

She said: "We were asked to judge the talent show and it was something we were quite keen to do.

"We want to get into schools more to try to give something back to the community.

"We were amazed at how good the acts were. Everyone was really impressed. The wife of our official photographer works at the school and that's how we linked up.

"We are flying out to Hong Kong next week so it was a nice thing to do before we left."

Kukri is a UK sports brand that sponsors the dancers. The team travels all over the world performing at major sports events.

The dancers performed two routines during a break at the talent show.
