Robin Hood lifted the Ridgeway Cup for the second time in their history after a 2-0 final victory over Goodlake Arms at Wantage's Alfredian Park.

The Witney-based outfit were the first winners of the Ridgeway Cup 25 years ago, and landed their first piece of silverware since re- forming last year with a comfortable victory.

Hood shaded a tight first half, thanks to a goal from Craig Mays and some fine goalkeeping from Andy Hudson-Shaw.

After the break, Goodlake came more into the game, with Steven Madge going close on a couple of occasions.

Victory was secured ten minutes from time when a through-ball from Kieron Davis opened up the Goodlake defence, and man-of-the-match Mays sent a perfect lob over the advancing Goodlake keeper.

In Division 2, Rutherford Lab upset Wheatsheaf Didcot 5-4.

Ian Bower led the way with a hat-trick, with John Hawkins and Joby Standish also on target.

Jake Chaffey (2), Ben Chaffey and Simon Amos replied.

Allbrite maintained their promotion push in Division 3B in emphatic fashion as they crushed Hampstead Norreys 10-0.

Shaw Brown hit a four-timer, with Rob Taylor chipping in with a hat-trick.

Allbrite's other goals came from Steve Taylor (2) and Billy Gilbert.
