OFFER ALERTS: Residents can now receive the latest information about events and GreenwichCard offers around the borough through the council's free e-alerts service. Launched earlier this year, residents receive news bulletins directly to their email inbox. Visit greenwich.gov.uk to sign up.
ANIMAL ADOPTIONS: People can now adopt an animal at Maryon Wilson Park, Thorntree Road, Charlton. The park has launched an adoption scheme so people can help to care for the animals and contribute to the costs of keeping and feeding them.
ART ON SHOW: Young artists from Greater London schools including Blackheath High School, Vanbrugh Park, Greenwich, have the chance to exhibit their artwork at The Arts Gallery in central London, until May 18, as part of an awards programme.
NO MOVE YET: Rumours of the American Embassy relocating to Greenwich are unfounded at present. The Navy Annex at 20 Grosvenor Square, London, which is next to the embassy, is up for sale.
