Colden Common's infrastructure is buckling under the pressure of new development, residents have said.
Villagers and the Parish Council expressed concerns at a meeting of Winchester city planners, who were considering an application to demolish one house and build eight in its place.
Colden Common resident, Michael Blackstaff, said: "There are now 59 developments where two years ago there were seven."
Jean Bligden, who represented Colden Common Parish Council, said: "The parking provision is inadequate for the number of properties proposed and could lead to on-street parking in an area that has an unacceptable level of parking on the highway. The Parish Council is feeling more and more concerned that the village is becoming more and more urbanised."
The committee voted to approve the plans.
