AN appeal launched to pay for £1.2 million renovation work at St John's Church in Norley Road, Sandiway has reached £50,000 in three months.
The church is growing so needs more room.
Plans are for an £820,000 extension at the back of the church, which would have space for junior church groups to meet, space for informal worship, space for robing and preparation, enhanced toilet and kitchen facilities and overflow space for special services.
The hall will have a £260,000 renovation, which will provide a meeting room with separate facilities to allow two events to take place at once; improved disabled access and better toilet and kitchen facilities.
