Three enthusiastic Halesowen teenagers are taking matters into their own hands to raise money for charity.

Young campaigner Mitchell Yafai and brothers James and Stuart Trigg, all aged 14, have vowed to do all they can to help the less fortunate.

The friends have set up their own group, Time4Change, and already have several fundraising events in the pipeline.

Mitchell said the group had been influenced to act after seeing scenes of suffering on the news.

He said: "We thought - why shouldn't we do more to give something back?

"We have all done things in the past for charities so we decided to start up our own."

The pro-active trio undertook a sponsored dog walk on Saturday April 14, with all proceeds going to the Arthritis Research Campaign.

They are also holding an event, details to be confirmed, at Caslon Primary School and have written to numerous charities offering support.

Mitchell said they were hoping to register Time4Change as a charity in the next few weeks.

He said: "We are in the middle of producing posters.

"Hopefully other young people will be encouraged to help us out."
