A DAD who armed himself with a knife and threatened to kill his ex-partner has been spared jail.
Burnley Crown Court heard how Lee Fox, 29, had been given a suspended sentence order for the offence but flouted it.
The defendant's order was revoked and a judge gave him a 28 week jail sentence, suspended for two years, with the domestic violence programme and two years supervision.
Fox, of Levengreave Court, Whitworth, had admitted breaching the order. He had spent 29 days in custody and faced further time behind bars if the order was activated.
Philip Holden, defending, said Fox had complied with the supervision element of the suspended sentence order for about six or seven months but the domestic violence programme had had to be stopped, as there were not enough people on it.
