Expect a lively crowd

They're the band that has got the streets of London buzzing.

They're called Fuzzy Logic. And if you haven't heard of them yet - you soon will.

Oh yes. There is nowhere left to hide!

On Saturday this 'tell-it-like-it-is' urban collective bring their hard-hitting beats, bouncy rhythms and intelligent lyrics to Oxford for their local debut.

And the gig, at the Wheatsheaf, off High Street, is our top tip for gig of the week.

Oh, and it's also the homecoming party of the band's guitarist - local boy Jack Hearne - so expect an even more up-for-it crowd and a good selection of Oxford faces.

Call it experimental big beat, bouncy rap, rocked-out hip hop, or 21st century ska. It doesn't really matter.

Blending 'Sarf of the River' grime, with electro, ska and reggae basslines, Manu Chao-style global rap, hard-hitting vocals, and a lingering flavour of old skool hip hop, there is nothing fuzzy about their uncompromising beats and rhymes.

Fuzzy Logic

Vibrant, technically brilliant and with just a hint of knowing humour, this lot can be relied on to keep your head banging and your feet dancing before you can say 'buzz band', And they make the competition look one-dimensional and, well, just plain boring.

As well as Jack 'OxJam' Hearne, the band consists of 'Darwood Ddot7' Grace on lead vocals; Ben 'Bombastic Bassman' on bass; Nicodemus 'Nico Leo' Flower on drums; and Tom 'Budakan' Pearson on synth.

And what is earning them respect is their uncompromising, uncommercial trappings, mercifully free of the lame posturing that many of their less competent, though over exposed peers, chose to hide behind.
