Hanborough boosted their hopes of avoiding the drop from MP Sports Cherwell League Division 3 by beating fellow relegation strugglers Oxford 3rd by four wickets.
Chasing Oxford’s total of 162, in which skipper Mike Dove took 4-60, Hanborough cruised to 163-6 thanks to an unbeaten 61 from Simon Smith and 31 from 16-year-old Joe Burgess.
It was Oxford’s tenth defeat from 12 matches.

Kingston Bagpuize are still in danger of the drop after falling to a four-wicket reverse against Aston Rowant 2nd.
The home side made a decent 163 when they batted first, but Rowant got home at 164-6 despite a fine spell of 5-69 from Tom G Scrase.

Runs were at a premium at Standlake where Oxford Downs 2nd were dismissed for a paltry 96 by Great Brickhill.
The visitors did not have things all their own way when they replied, losing five wickets before crossing the line.

Bledlow Ridge were too good for Witney Mills as they ran out 37-run winners.
Russell Turner played the crucial innings, making 68 in Bledlow’s 178-6.
Darren Gordon (37) and Pierre Lefort (33) gave the home side a scent of victory, but they were eventually all out for 141 as Mark Dakin returned 5-50 and Geoff Tombs 3-19.

James Shirley shone with the ball in Bledlow Vill-age’s six-wicket success over Dinton 2nd.
He captured 6-26 in Din-ton’s 129 and then the home side cruised home at 141-4.
