RUGBY UNION: Coe helps Oxford hang on

Oxford held on for a 23-19 victory at promotion rivals Phoenix in the BB&O Premier Division.

Phoenix started stronger, but Oxford took the lead with a penalty from Dom Coe.

The hosts hit back with a converted try.

Oxford went 17-7 ahead, with a powerful solo effort from Tom Johnson and a 70-metre interception from Duncan Lynchsmith, both converted by Coe.

Phoenix added two more tries as Oxford took their foot off the gas, but two Coe penalties proved enough for victory.
