OCA League Divisions 1-4
Horley continued their title push with a comprehensive seven-wicket victory at home to Marcham in Division 1 on Saturday.
Batting first, Marcham managed only 147-9, Stuart Armstrong top-scoring with 73 and Darren De Bruyn taking 4-33.
Harry Smith (69) and Olly Wright (46no) then steered Horley to victory.
East Oxford kept up the pressure with a four-wicket win against Freeland.
Faisil Choudhary (4-28) and Tauqeer Hussain (3-42) combined as Freeland were dismissed for 114, before East Oxford reached 115-6.
Youngster Alex Bowles was the star with the bat to help Shrivenham to an 82-run victory over Great Horwood.
Bowles dug Shrivenham out of a tricky situation, scoring 70 batting at No 7.
Adam Tucker then took 6-18 as Horwood were skittled for 87.
Charlbury posted a rare victory as they edged past Westbury by eight runs.
Glen McCallum hit 58 in Charlbury’s 172-6, before Craig McCallum took 4-45 and Tom Gidman 3-19 as Westbury fell just short on 164 all out.
In Division 2, Garsington stretched their lead with a 55-run victory over Minster Lovell.
Neil Bound (49) and Gersh Whiteman (40) helped Garsington to 207-6.
Minster seemed to be well on track at 120-1, Andrew Crawford top-scoring with 95.
But a big collapse saw then shot out for 152, Steve Richardson taking 7-34.
Northleach Town moved up to second with a 106-run win against Fringford.
Kingsley Went (91) and Glen Crompton (83) helped Northleach to 247-8, before Crompton claimed 4-21 as Fringford crashed to 141 all out.
Matt Mead had a good day with bat and ball to help Marsh Gibbon to a 34-run win over Watlington.
Mead scored 61 not out in Marsh Gibbon’s 183-5, before taking 4-31 as Watlington reached 149-9 in reply.
Hook Norton cruised to an eight-wicket win over Letcombe.
Pat Bryan (81no) and Richard Taylor (52) took Letcombe to 203-5, but 85 from Tim Lunel and 70 not out from Cliff Dare saw Hooky home at 204-2.
In Division 3, leaders Witney Swifts were made to fight hard for their victory over Eynsham.
Batting first, Eynsham were bowled out for 136, Graeme Woodward taking 4-45 and Omar Hussain 3-18.
Swifts lost wickets regularly in their reply, but with Jason Seacole hitting 42 and Charlie Fisher 41, they got in at 140-7.
Broughton & North Newington kept up the pressure with a four-wicket win over Westcott.
Andy Parsons was the star for Broughton, taking 5-37 as Westcott were bowled out for 167, before hitting 54 not out to steer his side to 168-6.
Aaron Hirtenstein returned outstanding figures of 8-16 as Oxenford thumped Kings Sutton by 178 runs.
Oxenford rattled up 235-7, Rhys Davies hitting 90.
Hirtenstein then ripped through Kings Sutton for 57.
Clifton Hampden saw off West Ilsley by 20 runs.
Malcolm Cox-Rogers (59) and Andrew Burton (55) helped Clifton to 168 all out, then Laurence Harvey claimed 5-22 as West Ilsley fell to 148 all out.
A solid batting display helped Stonesfield to a 142-run win at Radley.
Jamie Burns (82no), Tim Wyatt (68), Ben Redknap (42) and Neil Grant (37) took Stonesfield to 258-5. Then Adam Fleetwood claimed 5-31 as Radley fell to 116 all out.
Division 4, leaders Combe crushed Oxford Rescue by 182 runs.
Jonny Bourchier hit 93 in Combe’s 211 all out, before Rescue were shot out for a paltry 29, Dave Gardner taking 4-2 and Tim Knight 3-2.
Brill stayed in touch with a nine-wicket win at home to Deddington.
Having dismissed their rivals for 139, Ian Smith (81no) and Rob Gascoine (52no) saw Brill to 142-1.
East Oxford 2nd defeated Britwell Salome by 25 runs.
They reached 201 all out, before Atif Liaqat (4-31) and Ejaz Sarwar (4-44) combined to dismiss Britwell for 176.
Charlbury 2nd fell to the bottom of the table after slipping to a six wicket defeat against Hailey.
Dan King (4-41) and Tom King (3-25) ensured Charlbury were bowled out for 130, then Tom King hit 57 not out to steer Hailey to 131-4.
Minster Lovell 2nd defeated Uffington by 24 runs.
Neil Spearman and Jamie Cross both hit 44 not out in Minster’s 168-9, before Uffington fell to 144 all out, with four wickets apiece for Cross and Kieren Bushnell.
