A FINE all-round performance saw Banbury clinch the Oxfordshire Under 15 Championship title with a 21-run victory over Great & Little Tew in the final at Tiddington.
Batting first, Banbury posted 122-9 from their 22 overs, Lloyd Sabin top-scoring with 24 and Josh Megson making 23.
Matt Taylor took 3-12 and Lawrence Brock 3-28 for Tew.
In reply, opener Curtly Slatter hit a composed 46, but Tew lost wickets at regular intervals in the face of some tight Banbury bowling.
Clark Berry was the pick of the Banbury attack, taking 3-15, as Tew were restricted to 101-7.
Banbury now go on to represent Oxfordshire in the Nationwide National Cup, with their first match away to the Northamptonshire winners, Weldon, on July 19.
