OXFORDSHIRE Under 14s got their hands on some silverware at the Kassam Stadium.

The South West Counties champions were presented with the shield and winners medals at the home of Oxford United.

Oxon’s team, featuring players from 12 different schools, received their awards at the side of the pitch.

They were also invited to return to the club during pre-season to meet head coach Karl Robinson and the first team.

United’s head of academy Dan Harris said: “They should be very proud.

“Our congratulations go to the coaches and staff who have helped them develop.

“It was great to see so many different schools represented and there are some extremely talented footballers in that squad.”
