SAM Jones’s brilliant century was not enough to see Eynsham into the Airey Cup semi-finals as they fell to a dramatic one-wicket defeat at home to Chipping Norton.

Jones struck 129 as Eynsham set 265-6 in 45 overs.

But Rhys Warner-Carter (74) kept Chippy in the hunt and they got home off the last ball of the match in a thrilling finale.
