OXFORDSHIRE’S B side made it five successive victories when beating Wiltshire B by six wickets in the Over 50s Southern Counties Championship at Trowbridge.
Oxon put their opponents into bat and apart from John Baden’s half-century (50), restricted their hosts to 177-7, with Steve Kelly taking 3-36.
The visitors made a steady start, thanks to Jonny Atkins (45), but they were pegged back and reduced to 82-4.
With the game finely poised, Andrew Hodder-Williams (77no) and Colin Allen (43no) proceeded to hammer the bowling attack with an unbroken partnership of 96 off 13.2 overs to earn victory with six overs to spare.
l NICK Moorman hit an unbeaten 90 as the Oxon A side claimed a 15-run victory over Gloucestershire in the ECB Over 50s Championship at Bourton Vale.
Electing to bat first, Oxon posted 188-8 in the Group 4 clash, with Alec Cunningham (29) and Steve Roberts (22) supporting Moorman as wickets fell regularly.
Gloucestershire looked comfortable until the visitors produced a brilliant fightback.
Neil Megson claimed two stumpings and more wickets tumbled as Oxon dismissed their hosts for 173.
l OXON lost by 39 runs against Buckinghamshire in the Over 60 Championships at Bledlow.
Bucks posted 228-2, with opener Richard DeCaires hitting an unbeaten 127.
It proved a challenging total, with Jim Head (40) and Ady Manger (35) top-scoring as Oxon finished on 189-6.
