AFTER a long campaign that only saw them lose just once, Summertown AFC were officially confirmed as the champions of the Oxford City FA Premier League.
Manager Dave Farbrother and assistant Rod Noble masterminded a superb campaign, although it got off to a slow start.
A victory in their opening match against Thame United was followed by a 5-1 defeat against St Ebbes.
But this proved their only reverse of the season.
Summertown went on a stunning 18-game unbeaten run that saw only two draws – against Union Street and Masons Arms.
