SAM Nicholls kicked a late penalty to book Chinnor’s spot in the semi-finals of the National Colts Cup with a 22-20 victory over Olney at Kingsey Road.
The hosts dominated possession, but their only return was George Hanley’s unconverted try.
A strong breeze disrupted the kicking game for both sides, but a converted score saw Olney lead 7-5 at the break.
Chinnor raced into a 19-7 lead when Jacob Whitfield and Nicholls, who converted both tries, crossed.
The tie swung back in Olney’s favour as two penalties and a converted try put them one point in front with four minutes remaining.
But Chinnor dug deep and forced a penalty, which Nicholls slotted over on 79 minutes to secure victory and a place in the last four.
