MATT Williams is under no illusions how pivotal Chinnor’s clash at fellow promotion contenders Old Elthamians tomorrow could prove to be in the run-in.
The Kingsey Road-based club are second, two points clear of their hosts, and travel to London in high spirits.
Chinnor are on a six-match winning run in National League 2 South and Williams hopes his side’s form continues.
The director of rugby said: “We’re heading into a big game.
“If they win, we drop down to third and it’s game on.
“If we win, they are over a game away from second and it just puts a nice little gap to the top at a very critical stage.”
Winger Luke Hibberd is injured (hamstring), prop Mark Darlington is away on international duty with the Netherlands, while lock Nathan Hannay is unavailable.
