LES Taylor has called on his players to prove that Oxford United can compete with any side in FA Women’s Super League 2, writes MATTHEW BRUCE.
The U’s travel to promotion-chasing Everton tomorrow looking to recover from their 2-1 defeat at Durham a fortnight ago.
“We look at the Durham game and can take a lot of heart from it,” said Taylor.
“It really was a game of two halves. In the first we just didn’t turn up, but in the second we were the better team by far.
“We have to make sure we are at it from the start this weekend. ”
Top-scorer Ini Umotong and defender Rosie Lane will both travel after recovering from ankle injuries, but full-back Lauren Haynes is a doubt after landing awkwardly on her elbow.
Oxford Utd (v Everton, away): from Lambourne, Frampton, Lee, Haynes, Lane, Casley, Rafferty, Umotong, Franklin-Fraiture, Allison, Cox, Weston, Bruce, Noble, Baker, Timms, Deeley, Nutman, Hakala.
