BANBURY skipper Lloyd Sabin is backing his side to bounce back when they travel to Tring Park tomorrow.

The Division 1 title contenders fell to an 18-run defeat at home to High Wycombe last weekend, slipping 25 points behind leaders Finchampstead.

But Sabin says that loss, Banbury’s second of the season, is already forgotten about and his side, who sit third, are fully focused on beating Tring.

The 22-year-old said: “If we win, we just enjoy it and focus on the next week. If we lose, we focus on the next week.

“We have put it behind us and everyone wants to improve on things so we will put them right this week.”

With five weeks to go, Sabin believes the title race in the top tier of the Home Counties Premier League will go down to the wire.

He added: “If we are in the hunt with a couple of games left we will be up for it.”

Ed Phillips and Bradley Taylor are unavailable, so Ashley Blanchard and Justin Lambden come into the side.

Great & Little Tew host Finchampstead.

They will be bidding to build upon their victory over Harefield.
