JOHN Barrett has sent out a reminder Oxford have more than one match-winner ahead of their Division 2 derby at home to Thame Town tomorrow.

Samad Fallah has taken 13 wickets in two Home Counties Premier League games.

The hauls have helped Oxford move up to second, benefitting from being the only team to record a victory last week after rain washed out the rest of the fixtures, including at leaders Horspath.

But Barrett stressed his side are not overly reliant on Fallah.

“The encouraging thing is we have got more than one guy, it’s not always about Sam,” he said.

“We have got guys batting well and a good balance.

“Having someone like him (Fallah) helps because he takes a lot of wickets but there are lots of others contributing.”

Harvey Eltham, Adam Hall and Richard Musk come in for unavailable trio Ian Crosby, Andrew Clough and Freddie Fairhead.

Honey Garg and Will Taylor return for Thame and captain Mike Higgs is feeling upbeat.

“We have done well against the teams towards the top end of the league and we are looking forward to it,” he said.

Charlie Brain is under no illusions of the importance of Shipton-under-Wychwood’s clash with basement boys Gerrards Cross.

His side are just a place and seven points above the Bucks outfit.

Skipper Brain said: “We have got to win this game. We need to get out of this relegation zone sharpish.”

George Seacole is added to a squad of 12.

Horspath travel to Datchet, who captain Will Eason believes will be fighting for promotion.

But the skipper does not feel tomorrow’s match will have a bearing at the end of the season.

“When you are trying to stay at the top every game is important,” he said.

“I would not say this game is overly crucial yet,” he said.

Horspath are forced into four changes, with Adam Price, Jamie Stead, Mark Skelton and Jehan Mohammed coming in.

Aston Rowant are without Miles Hammond, who has returned to Gloucestershire, when they visit high-flying Buckingham Town.
