FORMER Oxfordshire off-spinner Jack Taylor has been suspended from bowling after being reported for a suspected illegal action for a second time.

The Gloucestershire bowler, who started his career with Great & Little Tew, served a previous ban in 2013.

Taylor, 24, who has taken 14 wickets at 30.64 in this season's Specsavers County Championship, was reported for analysis by the England and Wales Cricket Board.

An ECB statement read: "Taylor's bowling action was subject to the independent analysis process set out in the ECB regulations for the review of bowlers reported with suspected illegal bowling actions. This analysis took place on Thursday 26 May 2016.

"The report of the independent analysis was received by ECB on Wednesday 1 June 2016. The reports identified that Taylor's bowling action displayed elbow extension in excess of the permitted 15 degrees during analysis. This analysis follows the same procedures used by ICC in such circumstances.

"Consequently, and in accordance with the regulations, Taylor has been suspended from bowling for England and in competitive county cricket until such time as he is submitted to a fresh independent analysis in which it is concluded that he has remedied his actions. The suspension is with immediate effect."

The 24-year-old turned professional in 2010 and put in a man-of-the match performance to help Gloucestershire beat Surrey by just six runs to win the Royal London One Day Cup last year.
