JOE Mills, Josh Deegan, Sam Stoop and Matt Goode starred as Banbury scored 11 tries against 14-man Bedworth in a crushing 71-7 victory.

Deegan opened the scoring in the Midlands 2 West (South) clash, with Ed Phillips converting for a 7-0 lead.

Stoop and Goode then got in on the act, Phillips adding the extras, to make it 21-0.

Banbury had the taste for points as Stoop crossed again and Phillips made no mistake with the boot.

They were not done there and, after a Bedworth prop was sent off, Phillips converted his own try.

But they conceded just before half-time to go into the break with a 35-7 lead.

The hosts were too strong, with Jed Boyle going over, before Mills added a further two tries. Phillips converted twice to make it 54-7.

There was still time for three more as Jimmy Manley, Goode and Deegan crossed.

Phillips could only convert one of the scores as Bulls eased home, extending their lead to four points.

In Southern Counties North, Graham Sage kicked a 78th minute penalty to earn Wallingford a 17-17 draw against Beaconsfield.

Tries from Anthony Marris and Ian Jeffreys, both converted by Phil Dawes, saw the south Oxfordshire outfit lead 14-7 at the break.

But Beaconsfield hit back with two unconverted tries to take a three-point lead.

Wallingford pushed for a score, but were forced to leave it late when Sage slotted a penalty with two minutes to go to earn a draw.

Bicester were unable to turn early pressure into points as they lost 24-0 at leaders Aylesbury.
