FLY HALF Henry Lamb kicked 13 points as Witney recorded back-to-back victories in South West 1 East with a 33-8 win over Reading.

Jamie Burke opened the scoring, with Lamb adding the extras, before the half back slotted a penalty for 10-0.

Chris Greig crossed for an unconverted score for the visitors, but Witney’s Matt Clarke dotted down and Lamb made no mistake with the boot for 17-5.

Ray Mead kicked a penalty for Reading, but Witney led 22-8 at the break after Richie Craig drove over.

The hosts dominated the second half, with Lamb slotting two penalties either side of Rhys Morgan’s unconverted try.

Oxford Harlequins were left to rue a poor first half as they were beaten 42-27 by Leighton Buzzard.

The home side raced into a 23-0 lead, thanks to three Lee Walker penalties and tries from Darren Braybrooke and Luke Stanbridge.

Jack Robinson kicked a penalty for Quins, but the hosts increased their lead to 37-3 when Euan Irwin and Ollie Taylor touched down.

Walker converted both.

Quins responded with tries from Kyle Grant (2) and Alan Purchase, Jack Robinson converting twice, to make it 37-22.

But Buzzard put the match beyond doubt when Stanbridge crossed.

Quins secured a bonus point when Rhys Hodgson went over in the corner for 42-27.

Mike Martin missed a last-minute penalty as Grove lost 20-18 at home to Maidenhead.

Joe Chilvers and Guy Nicholl crossed, while Martin kicked a conversion and two penalties.
