Oxford will be trying to end a nightmare season on a high when they meet Banbury in the Bernard Tollett Oxfordshire Cup final at Abingdon Vale on Sunday (2.30).
Having finished bottom of Home Counties Premier League Division 1 without a single win, Oxford start underdogs against their rivals, who were runners-up to champions High Wycombe.
Banbury make one change from their final league victory over Slough, with Jimmy Phillips in for Will Briggs, who is on holiday.
Luke Ryan, the Banbury captain, is not taking the game lightly.
He said: “It will be a challenge playing Oxford.
“They have got some good players, and anything can happen.”
This match will be preceded by the Wilf Bennett Cup final between Thame Town and Oxford Downs (11am).
Banbury: Darby, Bartlett, Sabin, West, Bradbeer, Keegan, Blanchard, Ryan (capt), Penhale, Wright, J Phillips.
The OCA League’s Airey Cup final, postponed from August Bank Holiday Monday, has been rearranged for this Sunday.
Westbury, attempting to complete a league and cup double, take on Great Horwood at Charlbury, starting at 12.30.
