AUSTRALIAN Tom Rowley hit what is believed to be a Bernard Tollett Oxfordshire Cup record with a brilliant unbeaten 169 to set Tiddington on the way to a 117-run victory at home to Thame Town in the first round.
Rowley’s runs came off just 69 balls as he smashed 18 fours and ten sixes to take Tiddington to a massive 276-3.
He shared a stand of 195 with Nick Pykett, who hammered 67 from 33 deliveries, with four boundaries and six maximums.
Tiddington skipper Matt Maule then took 5-19 and Matt Johnston 4-35 as Thame were bowled out for 159.
