CONNOR Murphy will miss the rest of the season after breaking his leg during Henley Hawks’ 38-22 victory over Dings Crusaders on Saturday, writes JACK JOHNSON.

The scrum half, who is dual registered with Aviva Premiership side London Irish, will be out for six weeks with a broken fibula.

Hawks head coach Pete Davies said: “He will be back in time for pre-season.

“The medical team at Irish will look after him and make sure he will be back to full fitness.”

Champions Hawks continued their fine form in National League 2 South, running in six tries against relegated Dings.

Tom Hall grounded to give Henley the lead. Murphy converted.

However, a Ben Bolster penalty and Oliver Reyland’s unconverted try saw Dings edge in front.

Hawks responded with Hugo Milford Scott’s converted score and Jake Randall’s solo try.

The hosts were not to be deterred as Simon Hunt touched down. Bolster added the extras.

Lloyd Owen and Nathan Taylor dived over for converted tries to stretch Hawks’ lead to 33-15.

Ed Church added another, before Redruth’s Harry Nowell went over for a converted score.

Chinnor maintained their push for a top five finish with a 31-7 win at Redruth.

George Tyas and George Blewitt crossed early on.

Ed Keohane converted the latter score.

Alfie To’oala’s try made it 19-0 and George Grose secured the bonus point. Keohane failed with the boot.

The hosts grabbed a consolation through Sam Parsons.

Murray Westren landed the kick.

Chinnor had the final word when Christian Ostberg drove over and Keohane added the extras.
