REIGNING champions Kingston Bagpuize reached the semi-finals of the Oxfordshire Indoor Competition after beating Stonesfield by three wickets with three balls to spare at Abingdon School.

Sam Hibbard’s unbeaten 26 helped Stonesfield reach 73-4 after they had been reduced to 15-2 off three overs.

Ian Ogelsby (21) led the Bagpuize reponse as they reached the last four, to join Cumnor, Horspath and Wolvercote.

Sandford St Martin, already crowned Banbury Indoor League Division 1 champions, ended their season with a thumping six-wicket win over Cropredy, passing their 32 all out in three overs.

Ben Cox hit 66 not out as Shipstonon-Stour wrapped up second place after beating Broughton & North Newington by 82 runs.

At the other end of the table, Banbury were relegated despite their two-wicket win over Great & Little Tew.

Steve Beck’s unbeaten 26 helped Banbury pass Great Tew’s 120-0, but it could not save them from joining Cropredy in Division 2 next season as Tew picked up six bonus points to narrowly avoid the drop.
