One-day Varsity Match
LORD’S have added a new twist to the One-day Varsity Match by allocating a fifth-day pitch for tomorrow’s fixture.
Oxford University take on Cambridge at the home of cricket, but the fixture is clearly not as significant as it once was.
The students will play on the same pitch used for this week’s LV= County Championship Division 1 clash between Middlesex and Yorkshire.
Oxford University CC administrator Simon Griffin said: “It has certainly caused us a few issues with selection.”
Captain Sam Agarwal is a doubt, while Owain Jones is ruled out with a broken finger and fractured shin.
