Newly-promoted Middleton Cheney made a flying start to Division 1 life in the Banbury Indoor League by thrashing Sandford A by six wickets.

Steve Twynham (28no) and Ryan Markham (21no) top-scored with the bat as they easily passed Sandford’s 102-run target.

Charlbury 108-6 (B Liyanarach 32), Sandford 108-4 (M Anson 34no, P Tanner 30). Sandford won by losing fewer wickets.
