Chinnor coach Jason Bowers is relishing the prospect of his side taking on National League 2 South leaders Henley Hawks at Dry Leas tomorrow.

“It’s always a challenge to take on the league leaders,” said Bowers.

“The fact that they are just down the road from us makes it even more special.”

Hawks saw their unbeaten run ended by Worthing last week, but they still top the table by three points, having scored 501 points in ten games.

“Henley play an open game and like scoring tries, so we will have to be at the top of our game to stop them,” said Bowers.

The four points Chinnor ach-ieved from a bruising victory over Shelford last week have taken the promoted club to sixth in the table.

“We’ve done unbelievably well this season, “ said Bowers. “But this won’t be easy.”

One player added to the Chinnor squad will be scrum half Frank Jones, who is back after a three-week suspension.

Centre Trevor Powell, who scored a try on his seasonal first-team debut last week, is retained in the squad.

Flanker Matt Payne returns for Hawks after two weeks away in South America, while James Hadfield replaces Alex Penny at tight-head prop.

Dave Clements comes into the second row, with Xavier Andre preferred to Richard Briggs on the left wing.

Oxford Harlequins bring in Bucks Under 20 No 8 Toby Baker for their trip to Redingensians in National 3 South West.

Charlie Summat and Adam Neal return from injury after missing the Oxfordshire Cup defeat at the hands of Oxford University Greyhounds.

James Elwood and Rich Kerr come onto the Witney bench when they host Windsor in South West 1 East.
