A MAN was taken to the Horton Hospital in Banbury in the early hours today after falling into the River Cherwell.
Ambulance and fire crews were called to Wellington Avenue, Banbury, at 12.28am, after reports that a man had fallen into the river.
On arrival they found the man had been helped out of the water by the same passer-by who had alerted the emergency services.
The man was taken to the Horton for treatment to minor injuries.
