THE CAUSE and sustainability of Emmanuel Macron's rapid rise to power will be discussed at Oxford University on Tuesday.

The French president built a new political movement, En Marche, which catapulted him to victory in the French presidential and legislative elections.

A panel discussion with take place between Labour peer Andrew Adonis, Guillaume Liegey head of LMP, a leading European campaign technology company and Oxford politics lecturer Dr Sudhir Hazareesingh.

The event will take place from 5.30pm at the Blavatnik School of Government, Woodstock Road. It is free but registration is required via.bsg.ox.ac.uk.
